BDAC is an ACCO (Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation) registered as a member under the umbrella of VACCHO (Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation) and represented nationally through NACCHO (National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation).
BDAC was founded to represent and provide services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living on Djaara Country.
BDAC has a responsibility to ensure growth of services, development of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, better and improved health outcomes for our people, improved quality of life and be a lead agency in providing self-determination employment and career pathways for Aboriginal people.
The Operations Coordinator will undertake a range of administrative, coordination and compliance functions to support the Infrastructure & Assets team and its manager.
The primary function of the role will be to coordinate the work of the team, including administering the fleet management system and systems for the scheduling of routine and ad hoc requests relating to maintenance, property, assets and property and facilities related projects. The role will also administer all insurance related to motor vehicles and maintain relevant databases relating to the functions of the team.
The role will also provide administrative support to the Infrastructure and Assets manager and the Administration team, as required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support and task coordination for the Infrastructure & Asset team relating to:
Building and facilities maintenance and repairs
Fleet management
Parking and traffic management
Security and storage
Services contract management
Asset registers
Tenancy management and leases
Insurance
Prepare and assist with reporting and compliance.
Provide administrative support to the Infrastructure and Assets Manager
Develop agendas and documentation for relevant meetings and prepare minutes of the meetings.
Compile and maintain relevant electronic databases.
Administer fleet management system and deal with staff enquiries and requests
Coordinate maintenance schedules and requests
Oversee any accreditation or compliance requirements, including bus accreditation
Coordinate procurement, including preparing requests for tender and contract management documentation
Liaise with insurance companies relating to new and existing claims
Liaise with contractors to schedule works and compliance tasks
Supervise other staff and provide guidance on tasks as required by Infrastructure and Assets Manager
Other tasks as reasonably required

Well-developed skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite, in particular; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher, and Internet explorer.
Preferred / Desired / Mandatory Education, Training and/or Competencies.
Tertiary qualifications in business administration or similar (preferred)
Experience working with Aboriginal communities or organisations (highly regarded)
